Sligo Rovers duo Jason McGuinness and Mark Quigley have been nominated for the Professional Footballers' Association of Ireland (PFAI) award for the 2012 season.
Shamrock Rovers midfielder Ronan Finn and St Patrick's Athletic winger Sean O'Connor join the Bit O'Red pair on the shortlist for this year's Tissot-sponsored PFAI award.
The Premier Division team of the year was also announced and surprisingly fails to recognise any Drogheda United players, despite the remarkable season that Mick Cooke's side have experienced as they look likely to finish runners-up in the title race.
Sligo have six players included in the eleven, with four for St Pat's and Derry's Stephen McLaughlin making up the final place on the Players' XI.
David Cawley of Sligo, St Pat's' Chris Forrester and Waterford United's Sean Maguire have been nominated for the Young Player of the Year award, while veteran League of Ireland midfielder Gary Dempsey, now playing at Waterford United, has been nominated for the First Division Player of the Year award alongside team-mate Sean Maguire and Limerick's Rory Gaffney.
Former Manchester United and Newcastle United midfielder and Northern Ireland international, Keith Gillespie was named on the First Division Team of the Year, which includes five players from champions Limerick, three from Waterford, two from Gillespie's Longford and Brian McCarthy from Athlone Town.
Republic of Ireland internationals Wes Hoolahan, Shane Long and James McClean have been nominated for the Irish Overseas Players of the Year award.
The nominations for all categories were voted for by the League of Ireland players, and the award ceremony will take place on Saturday 10 November at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin.
