Ronan O'Gara will not feature in Munster's Heineken Cup Pool A encounter with Edinburgh this Sunday due to a hamstring injury.
The outhalf has been ruled out of the clash at Thomond Park as a result of the injury he sustained last Saturday in Munster's 22-17 defeat to Racing-Métro 92 at Stade de France.
O'Gara started the game in Paris, slotting a penalty and conversion in the opening 15 minutes, as Munster started the tie brightly.
However, he injured himself and was substituted on the half-hour mark, with Ian Keatley moving to number ten in O'Gara's absence.
While the severity of O'Gara's injury has not yet been revealed, it is known that he will not feature this weekend.
Paul O'Connell came through the match with Racing, his first since last May, without injury, and is likely to start against Edinburgh.
Donncha O'Callaghan (hamstring) and Niall Ronan (groin) will train this week and undergo fitness tests before a decision is made on their availability for the second round of Heineken Cup pool matches.
Felix Jones and Ian Nagle are also returning from injury and may feature against the Scottish side. While Luke O'Dea has recovered from a bout of illness and is available.
