From the Excel Arena to Croke Park, from Kiawah Island to the Olympic Stadium, from Twickenham to Gdansk, 2012 will live long in the memory for Irish sports fans. But RTE Sport's Darren Frehill experienced a 'high' during the year like no other while attending a Video Journalism course in Hungary back in October.
Frehill was one of 11 journalists from 10 different countries around Europe who attended a ten day mobile and video workshop where they learned the filming, editing and story telling skills necessary for the modern day video journalist.
Each student had to produce a final project and for his exercise, our reporter arranged a feature with Peter Besenyei, a world renowned aerobatics pilot.
Peter Besenyei is one of the biggest names in Hungarian sport and has been thrilling audiences around the world with his free-style flying for over 30 years.
The former world champion developed many of the maneuvers you see at air shows today and is considered one of the most successful aerobatic pilots of all time. Besenyei took our reporter on the flight of his life over the city of Budapest.
