Preparations for the Irish team travelling to the European Cross Country Championships in Budapest have been disrupted after Budapest Airport was been shut down due to electrical problems in the control tower.
The Irish team will be competing from Sunday and had planned on travelling directly this evening.
It is likely the team will fly to Vienna via London before a bus transfer to Budapest.
The airport will be shut until at least Saturday morning.
Ireland's team is headed by Fionnuala Britton who is defending her senior title and a major contender for a medal in the race.
