Padraig Harrington has returned to the top fifty in the golf world rankings for the first time since June 2011.
Harrington's recent good form was again in evidence at the Volvo Champions in Durban at the weekend, where the Dubliner finished in fourth place and now sits in 48th place in the rankings.
Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods are back at first and second in the world ahead of their 2013 debuts in Abu Dhabi this week.
Woods has edged ahead of Luke Donald again under the rolling two-year system, but Louis Oosthuizen's move up from sixth to a career-high fourth is easier to explain after winning in Durban yesterday.
Shane Lowry finished in a share for ninth place in South Africa and sits just outside the top 50 in 54th place.
Graeme McDowell is the only other Irishman in the top 50 as the Portrush native is 17th in the rankings.
Russell Henley, the PGA Tour rookie who won the Sony Open in Hawaii, has catapulted up from 130th to 50th.
