Ireland duo Jonathan Sexton and Mike McCarthy are set to miss the upcoming RBS 6 Nations match against Scotland at Murrayfield on Sunday 24 February.
Outhalf Sexton has suffered a hamstring tear and will be out of action for four to six weeks.
Second row McCarthy is ruled out of the tie with a medial ligament injury.
"Jonny's scan revealed a grade two hamstring injury. Progress has been good so far, but it's too early to say when he will return to play," Kearney said.
"Mike has hurt the medial ligament of his right knee. It's quite sore and he will be in a brace for two weeks. A further review will take place in two weeks."
There has been no decision regarding an appeal to reduce Cian Healy's ban for stamping. The loosehead prop was banned for three weeks starting from 10 March, meaning he will miss Ireland's next two week matches against Scotland and France.
Healy will, however, feature for Leinster against Treviso in the RaboDirect PRO12 this Saturday.
