Slick Tipp cruise past Galway

Tipperary earned a vital Allianz NHL win in the west at Pearse Stadium on a scoreline of 4-22 to 1-20.

Eamonn O'Shea's Tipperary delivered a polished opening period display departing 2-13 to 1-09 ahead at the break.

A third minute goal from a Brendan Maher sideline cut was followed by a delightful Shane Bourke major on 18 minutes.

Joe Canning replied with a goal from a 20 metre free five minutes later.

Tipp struck a third in the 53rd minute when John O'Dwyer, who scored 1-06 from play, bagged and a wonder goal from Lar Corbett on 68 sealed the deal.
