Galway are into the Cadburys All Ireland Under-21 Football Championship final after beating Kildare 2-10 to 2-05 in O'Connor Park.
The Leinster side dominated the first half but kicked 10 wides against a strong breeze and trailed 1-06 to 1-03 at the break, with Daniel Flynn for Kildare and Thomas Flynn for Galway finding the back of the net.
Séan Moran's tap-in put Galway six points up midway through the second half but Séan Hurley cancelled out the strike with a fisted goal moments later.
However, Kieran McGeeney's side were left to rue their first-period profligacy as Galway ran out five-point winners.
Meanwhile, in round two of Leinster minor football Championship, Offaly staged a stirring second-half comeback to record a 6-10 to 3-08 win over Meath in Navan.
In Munster, Waterford edged out Limerick by a point, 3-10 to 3-09, in Dungarvan.
In the Leinster minor hurling Championship, Kilkenny beat Laois (3-20 to 1-09) and Kildare beat Wicklow (8-10 to 1-11).
