Republic of Ireland international Stephen Ward has joined Championship side Brighton on a season-long loan from Wolves.
The 28-year-old utility player, who was mostly used as a left-back during 230 appearances, spent six and a half years at the West Midlands club.
The former Bohemians player has 18 international caps but hasn't featured for Giovanni Trapattoni's side since a friendly game against Greece last December.
Seagulls head coach Oscar Garcia said: "From the first day we arrived here we knew we needed a left-back. Stephen can help us a lot and he can also play as a winger.
"We are happy that Stephen has joined and he is fit enough to play."
Ward will team up with fellow Ireland international Keith Andrews, who is on loan at Falmer Stadium from Bolton.
