Keane wants electric atmosphere at Aviva

Ireland captain Robbie Keane is expecting a full house at Lansdowne Road tonight to create an "electric atmosphere" for his side's crucial World Cup 2014 qualifying clash with Sweden (7.45pm).

Keane told RTÉ Sport: "For us it will be great with a full house, I think there's 45,000 Irish fans and 5,000 Swedes.

"I'm sure there's going to be an electric atmosphere. These are the games that every player wants to play in – a full stadium, in Ireland.

"Every player that I speak to who's not Irish say the atmosphere at the Irish games seems great and I'm sure tonight will be even bigger."

The LA Galaxy forward added that midfielder James McCarthy's deadline day move from Wigan to Everton also provides the national team with a boost ahead of the World Cup Group C qualifier clash.

"For James you'd imagine he's going to be full of confidence. He has got a move to a fantastic club with a great tradition," he added.

The FAI have confirmed that the game is entirely sold out and that there will be no 'walk up' tickets for the match.
