Mayo's Donal Vaughan has dismissed talk of an overwhelming pressure in the county going into tomorrow's All-Ireland Football Championship final against Dublin in Croke Park.
As James Horan's men aim to finally bring Sam Maguire back to the west, Vaughan said the "understanding" Green and Red supporters have made the build-up to the game easier.
Vaughan said: "We're lucky in Mayo that our supporters are very knowledgeable and very passionate at the same time. I think they are very understanding.
"If you meet them on the street or in the shop, they will wish you well and give you the thumbs up. They are not going into details or being over-elaborate about the game.
"They have been very good that way. At the same time I think they are quite entitled to enjoy the occasion. There are 30 counties in Ireland that would love to be in the position we are in. A lot of people might say there is a pressure.
"We see it as a privilege and an honour. It is a challenge we as players are looking forward to. It is grand for the fans to enjoy it but ourselves we are all about playing football."
"Every team has weaknesses. It is about analysing them and trying to profit on them." - Donal Vaughan
Sunday's final is seen as one of the more difficult to predict in recent times. Dublin remain slight favourites, albeit with concerns over their defensive capabilities following the high-scoring semi-final with against Kerry.
Vaughan is hoping to take advantage of any frailties but knows the Dubs will have targeted their own weaknesses in the Connacht champions.
"Every team has weaknesses. It is about analysing them and trying to profit on them.
"I'm sure Dublin will be looking at the video and trying to tighten up on certain things. They will be analysing us as much as we are analysing them. We will be concentrating on ourselves and trying to play a high-tempo, attacking game and we'll see where that takes us.
"When you get to this stage of the season you're always going to be facing a formidable team. A bad team will not get to a final."
