Goalkeeper
Dean Delany (Bohemians)
The Bohemians goalkeeper played a starring role in his side's 1-1 draw win Dundalk and he managed to keep his side in the game with crucial saves in each half, both times denying John Mountey.

Defence
Danny O'Connor (Bray)
O'Connor played a captain's role as Bray moved off the bottom of the Premier Division table with a 1-0 win over Limerick. He was a commanding,and vocal presence at the back and then popped up in the other box to head in the crucial goal, which gave Bray their first victory since June.

Ger O'Brien (St Pat's)
The Saints' right-back was composure personified as his side claimed the victory they needed against Sligo to confirm themselves as Champions. O'Brien defended stoutly when called to do so and got forward in support of the attack down the flank, always offering himself as an option.

Simon Madden (Derry City)

Solid at the back against former side Shamrock Rovers, Madden helped to frustrate the visitors and limit them to a handful of chances but it was his attacking play that really made him stand out. Madden's crossing from the right was one of Derry's chief weapons in the Brandywell and he was unlucky not to have at least a couple of assists.

Midfield
Greg Bolger (St Pat's)
Bolger was a fully deserving man-of-the-match in his side's 2-0 victory over Sligo. He was excellent all evening anchoring Saints' midfield and scored a stunning goal to set the spark on the celebrations for their first title in 14 years.

John Mountney (Dundalk)
Playing on the right flank of midfield in his side's 1-1 draw with Bohemians, Mountney was excellent throughout. He got forward well, setting up Vinnny Faherty for a good chance before he brought the saves of the night from Dean Delaney, one in each half.

John Russell (St Pat's)

A solid and dependable presence in midfield, Russell was always on hand to provide the link between his back four and the front line. Indeed it was his burst forward and cut back to Anto Flood that provided the second goal to help seal the title.

Shane Duggan (Cork City)
Linking up well with both Danny Morrissey and Ciaran Kilduff, the Cork midfielder was the spark for much of his side's attacking play against Shelbourne. His surging run into the penalty area helped to set up Kilduff in the first half before a clever through ball allowed Morrissey to get on the scoresheet after the restart.

Forwards
Gavin Brennan (Drogheda United)
The forward was involved in almost every Drogheda attack in his side's 1-1 draw with UCD. Brennan and set up Peter Hynes' goal with a superb run. He was powerful in the air, quality on the ball for such a big man and a joy to watch.

Ciarán Kilduff (Cork City)

The big man scored four goals in a stunning 5-3 victory over Shelbourne. The first was a deft lob, the second a skilful volley and the third and fourth were fine headers. He was a class above throughout and was the outstanding player on show.

Dean Kelly (Shelbourne)
Shelbourne's captain and striker did as much as he could to keep his side in the game against Cork. He scored two fine goals and held the ball up well, whenever he got hold of it. Of all the Shels' players on display, Kelly did not deserve to end on the losing side.
