Jack O'Connor was last night ratified as Kerry minor football manager for 2014.
He stepped down as manager of the senior team in August of last year and has been handed a two-year term with Kerry's underage team.
The move ends speculation that O'Connor could replace Kieran McGeeney as manager of Kildare.
He takes over from Mickey Ned O'Sullivan as Kerry bid to win their first All-Ireland minor title since 1994.
Meanwhile, the Kerry County Board has endorsed the nomination of Sean Walsh as a candidate for the GAA presidency.
