Ireland centre Brian O'Driscoll has returned to training and has not experienced any problems with his calf injury meaning he could yet play all three November Test matches.
Head coach Joe Schmidt revealed that O'Driscoll himself will make a call on whether he is fit to play in November.
Lock Paul O'Connell and prop Cian Healy are both hoping to train next week and be available for the international series of ties.
Outhalf Jonathan Sexton will fly back to Paris this weekend to be with his club Racing Metro for their weekend clash with Biarritz in the south of France. It is unclear as yet whether he will start that match or not.
And as yet there is no update on the captaincy issue, an announcement will be made next week
