Jason Quigley and Michael Conlan won their fights to progress at the World Men's Elite Championships in Kazakhstan but Con Sheehan is out.
Current European champion Quigley beat India's Vijender Singh in the last-16 stage on a scoreline of 30-26, 30-26, 28-28 in the middleweight division.
After the bout, the Donegal man said: "As everyone knows, I'm an accurate boxer. I would never take anyone for granted. I went in there today and gave it everything, every fight is a final."
Bantamweight Conlan, fighting in the 56kg category, beat Kriszthan Nagy of Hungary on a unanimous decision, and the Belfast man now progress to the last-16 stage.
However, Tipperary heavyweight Con Sheehan was beaten by a unanimous decision by Cuba's Yohanndi Ortega, 29-28,30-27,29-28.
Afterwards Sheehan tweeted that he was "disgusted" with the result and added: "I know in me heart i won that fight" (sic).
