Chambers moves back to Inchicore

St Patrick's Athletic have announced the signing of James Chambers, who is rejoining the club from Shamrock Rovers.

The 26-year-old was previously with Pat's in 2012 having moved from Hamilton Academicals in Scotland.

He joined Rovers after a magnificent season but failed to live up to expectations with the Hoops.

Chambers is the fourth new signing made by manager Buckley to date as he joins Conor McCormack and Ken Oman in making the move from Tallaght to Inchicore, with Lee Lynch also joining the Saints after a two-year spell with Sligo Rovers.

The Saints have also confirmed midfielder John Russell will not be returning to the club after he was appointed FAI Development Officer in the Sligo region.
