Munster's Donnacha Ryan (knee ligaments) and Tommy O'Donnell (knee hyper-extension) are both are ahead of schedule with their recovery and are back running as Munster prepare for their Heineken Cup clash with Perpignan at Thomond Park on Sunday, kick-off 1245.

Both players are expected to be involved in limited training on Friday.

However, Mike Sherry, who underwent a scan yesterday evening, has suffered some damage to the ACL in his left knee. He will be seeing a specialist on Thursday to identify the full extent of the injury and to discuss the prognosis further.

Gerhard van den Heever will also see a specialist on Thursday after he sustained a broken bone in his right hand playing against Dragons last weekend.

Paddy Butler, who required surgery after sustaining a fracture to his right thumb in Murrayfield in October, has had the cast removed and is progressing well. He is in line to take part in some training from early next week.

While Simon Zebo (foot) will meet with the specialist next week for a review and update on his possible return to training.

Niall Ronan (sprained knee) met with the specialist yesterday and he will continue with his rehab for now, and is expected to resume training in approximately two to three weeks.

As expected Peter O'Mahony (dead leg) and Dave Foley (hamstring) are both back in full training this week while James Coughlan (eye) has been cleared to return to full training tomorrow.
