Manchester City get the weekend underway at home to Southampton lunchtime Saturday, while league leaders Liverpool face West Ham away on Sunday afternoon.

SATURDAY 12 APRIL

MANCHESTER CITY v SOUTHAMPTON 12.45pm

Manchester City are again without top scorer Sergio Aguero.

The Argentina striker is back in training after four games out with a hamstring injury but is not yet match-fit and next week's clash with title rivals Liverpool is now the target.

Centre-back Matija Nastasic, who has been out for two months with a knee problem, also remains on the sidelines.

City squad: Hart, Pantilimon, Zabaleta, Richards, Kompany, Demichelis, Lescott, Boyata, Clichy, Kolarov, Milner, Navas, Nasri, Silva, Toure, Fernandinho, Garcia, Rodwell, Negredo, Dzeko, Jovetic.

Victor Wanyama will be assessed ahead of the game for Southampton.

The Kenyan midfielder has been absent for nearly a month with a leg injury, but could return for the Barclays Premier League encounter at the Etihad Stadium.

Wanyama is expected to be the only progress on the injury front, meaning Nathaniel Clyne (groin), Kelvin Davis (hip) and Maya Yoshida (knee) will all miss out.

Southampton squad: Boruc, Gazzaniga, Chambers, Shaw, Targett, Lovren, Fonte, Hooiveld, Reed, Ward-Prowse, Cork, Schneiderlin, S Davis, Wanyama, Rodriguez, Ramirez, Do Prado, Lallana, Gallagher, Lambert.

ASTON VILLA v FULHAM 3pm

Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert faces a striker crisis.

Christian Benteke is expected to be sidelined for up to six months after suffering a serious Achilles tendon injury in training on Friday, while Gabby Agbonlahor is battling to recover from a sickness bug.

Nathan Baker has recovered from the foot injury which sidelined him in last week's 4-1 defeat at Old Trafford, while Karim El Ahmadi is also set to return to contention after a thigh strain.

Villa squad: Guzan, Steer, Clark, Baker, Luna, Vlaar, Bennett, Lowton, Bertrand, Bacuna, Albrighton, El Ahmadi, Westwood, Delph, Sylla, Tonev, Holt, Helenius, Weimann, Agbonlahor.

Fulham midfielder Scott Parker could return from a knee problem.

Striker Kostas Mitroglou continues to be sidelined by a knee problem but may return against Norwich on April 12.

Defender Fernando Amorebieta returns from suspension after being sent off in the 5-0 defeat by Manchester City.

Fulham squad: Stekelenburg, Stockdale, Heitinga, Amorebieta, Hangeland, Riether, Riise, Burn, Sidwell, Richardson, Kacaniklic, Kvist, Parker, Bent, Holtby, Dejagah, Kasami, Woodrow, Zverotic, Dembele.

CARDIFF v CRYSTAL PALACE 3pm

Crystal Palace manager Tony Pulis is hoping to have Marouane Chamakh available for selection.

The Eagles' top goalscorer has been missing for four games with a hamstring problem but returned to training earlier in the week, with Pulis giving the Morocco international every chance of being involved in south Wales.

Fellow striker Dwight Gayle (ankle) is unlikely to return in time but Pulis has no other injury concerns as he looks to build on the 1-0 win over Chelsea last weekend.

Palace squad: Speroni, Hennessey, Gabbidon, McCarthy, Dann, Mariappa, Ward, Delaney, Ledley, Bannan, O'Keefe, Dikgacoi, Bolasie, Jedinak, Guedioura, Puncheon, Ince, Thomas, Jerome, Chamakh, Murray.

Cardiff manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have winger Craig Noone available.

Noone has missed the last three games because of a groin injury but looks set to feature when Palace arrive in Wales.

Solskjaer could start with the side that drew 3-3 at West Brom last weekend, although Noone and loan signing Wilfried Zaha - who impressed off the bench at The Hawthorns - will push strongly for inclusion.

Cardiff squad: Marshall, Lewis, Turner, Theophile-Catherine, Fabio, John, Caulker, Campbell, Daehli, Medel, Eikrem, Mutch, Noone, Kim, Jones, Cala, Bellamy, Zaha, Taylor, Whittingham, Gunnarsson, Cowie, McNaughton.

HULL v SWANSEA 3pm

George Boyd is back after suspension for Hull for Swansea's visit.

George Boyd

Boyd missed three games after being found guilty of spitting at Manchester City's Joe Hart - Hull still deny he intended to do so.

Goalkeeper Allan McGregor is still in hospital after suffering a bruised kidney and broken ribs against West Ham and Steve Harper will continue in his place.

Hull squad: Harper, Jakupovic, Rosenior, Figueroa, Bruce, Chester, Davies, Meyler, Huddlestone, Koren, Fryatt, Livermore, Boyd, Long, Jelavic, Faye, Aluko, Quinn, Koren, Elmohamady, Sagbo.

Swansea head coach Garry Monk is set to select from strength for the clash at Hull.

Monk has reported no fresh injury concerns as the Swans look to make it three games unbeaten following a draw against Arsenal and a resounding 3-0 home win against Norwich last time out.

Those results have moved Swansea seven points clear of relegation trouble, with Monk again looking set to field star strikers Michu and Wilfried Bony in tandem.

Swansea squad: Vorm, Amat, Taylor, Flores, Williams, Britton, Bony, Hernandez, Dyer, Shelvey, Cornell, Lamah, Routledge, Tiendalli, De Guzman, Canas, Rangel, Pozuelo, Tremmel, Vazquez, Richards, Ngog, Emnes, Michu.

NEWCASTLE v MANCHESTER UNITED 3pm

Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko is facing up to three weeks on the sidelines as manager Alan Pardew contends with a worsening injury crisis.

The Frenchman will miss the clash with Manchester United because of a hamstring strain, and will join goalkeeper Tim Krul (shoulder), full-back Mathieu Debuchy (groin) and sriker Loic Remy (calf) on the casualty list.

However, both Krul and Remy are improving and could be available for the trip to Stoke on April 12, while midfielder Sammy Ameobi (knee) is back in training.

Newcastle squad: Elliot, Alnwick, Santon, Dummett, Haidara, Coloccini, Williamson, Yanga-Mbiwa, S Taylor, Tiote, Anita, Marveaux, Ben Arfa, Gouffran, Gosling, Cisse, De Jong, Shola Ameobi, Armstrong.

Centre-backs Chris Smalling (hamstring) and Jonny Evans (calf) have returned to training and are available for Manchester United.

Full-back Rafael (thigh) and midfielder Ryan Giggs (hamstring) are doubts, but left-back Alex Buttner (hamstring) is available.

Juan Mata and Patrice Evra return after sitting out the 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich, but striker Robin van Persie (knee) is not fit.

Manchester United squad: De Gea, Lindegaard, Rafael, Jones, Ferdinand, Vidic, Smalling, Evans, Buttner, Evra, Giggs, Carrick, Nani, Young, Fletcher, Valencia, Kagawa, Fellaini, Mata, Januzaj, Rooney, Hernandez, Welbeck.

NORWICH v WEST BROM 3pm

Norwich defender Joseph Yobo (calf) will be assessed ahead of the clash at Carrow Road.

Michael Turner scores against Arsenal

Centre-half Michael Turner is back in contention for a first appearance since New Year's Day following recovery from a hamstring injury.

Winger Elliott Bennett continues his rehabilitation from a long-term knee injury as he played for the Under-21s on Thursday, while midfielder Leroy Fer (hamstring) is also still not match fit.

Norwich squad: Ruddy, Martin, Bassong, Turner, Olsson, Tettey, Howson, Snodgrass, Redmond, Elmander, van Wolfswinkel, Bunn, R Bennett, Pilkington, Hooper, Gutierrez, Johnson, Hoolahan, Becchio, Whittaker, Yobo.

West Brom boss Pepe Mel is set to name forward Saido Berahino in his squad despite the dressing-room fracas that marred last weekend's draw with Cardiff.

Defender Jonas Olsson returns after a two-match ban while striker Victor Anichebe, midfielder Claudio Yacob and full-back Billy Jones are all in contention after recovering from hamstring injuries.

That leaves captain Chris Brunt as the only absentee, and the midfielder could return ahead of schedule from a knee problem against Tottenham next week.

West Brom squad: Foster, Myhill, Reid, Ridgewell, McAuley, Dawson, Olsson, Morrison, Sinclair, Dorrans, Mulumbu, Gera, Sessegnon, Anichebe, Vydra, Berahino, Bifouma, O'Neil, D Daniels, Amalfitano, Lugano, Jones, Yacob.

CHELSEA v STOKE 5.30pm

Stoke forward Jonathan Walters returns from suspension.

On-loan Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi is close to returning from a knee injury but is not yet back in contention.

Defender Robert Huth is out for the rest of the season with his knee injury.

Stoke squad: Begovic, Sorensen, Wilson, Shawcross, Pieters, Cameron, Wilkinson, Muniesa, Shotton, Whelan, Ireland, Nzonzi, Palacios, Adam, Etherington, Walters, Arnautovic, Odemwingie, Crouch, Guidetti.

Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o remains out with a hamstring injury.

Ashley Cole is back from a knee injury, while Nemanja Matic and Mohamed Salah are available again after being ineligible to face Paris St Germain on Wednesday.

Ramires serves the final game of his three-match domestic suspension and Marco van Ginkel is continuing his rehabilitation from his knee injury.

Chelsea squad: Cech, Ivanovic, Cole, Luiz, Lampard, Torres, Oscar, Mikel, Schurrle, Salah, Hazard, Ba, Willian, Matic, Schwarzer, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Kalas, Hilario, Ake

SUNDAY 13 APRIL

EVERTON v ARSENAL 1.30pm

Everton captain Phil Jagielka (hamstring) and midfielder Steven Pienaar (knee) will both miss the visit of Arsenal.

Jagielka has been absent for six matches and will not return until manager Roberto Martinez is sure he is 100 per cent while Pienaar has sat out four games.

Ross Barkley

Midfielder Ross Barkley (calf) should be available after coming off against Fulham last weekend.

Everton squad: Howard, Coleman, Distin, Stones, Baines, Barry, McCarthy, Osman, Barkley, Naismith, Lukaku, Robles, Browning, Garbutt, Alcaraz, McGeady, Mirallas, Deulofeu.

Arsenal will have midfielder Aaron Ramsey back in the squad for the first time this year following a thigh injury.

Full-back Kieran Gibbs (ankle) is a doubt, but Nacho Monreal (foot) should be available, while centre-half Laurent Koscielny (calf) and midfielder Serge Gnabry (knee) are out.

Germany international Mesut Ozil (hamstring) remains sidelined, alongside Jack Wilshere (foot), Theo Walcott and Abou Diaby (both knee).

Arsenal squad: Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Mertesacker, Monreal, Flamini, Arteta, Cazorla, Podolski, Rosicky, Giroud, Fabianski, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sanogo, Bellerin, Jenkinson, Kallstrom, Ramsey.

WEST HAM v LIVERPOOL 4pm

West Ham captain Kevin Nolan will be fit. The 31-year-old was forced off late on in Monday night's 2-1 win at Sunderland after feeling tightness in his back but Hammers' boss Sam Allardyce is confident his skipper will be available.

Defender George McCartney (hamstring) is less fortunate and will miss out, while Joey O'Brien (shoulder) and Marco Borriello (calf) are again likely to be sidelined.

West Ham squad: Adrian, Jaaskelainen, Demel, Tomkins, Johnson, Collins, Johnson, Reid, Armero, Noble, Nocerino, Diame, Taylor, Nolan, J Cole, Downing, Jarvis, Vaz Te, C Cole, Carroll.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has to decide whether to keep faith with an unchanged side or not.

Last weekend he brought back forward Raheem Sterling at the expense of midfielder Joe Allen and was rewarded by a man-of-the-match display in the 4-0 home win over Tottenham.

Joe Allen

However, the Hammers present a different proposition at Upton Park and Allen may be recalled but defender Jose Enrique (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Liverpool squad: Mignolet, Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Flanagan, Gerrard, Allen, Henderson, Sterling, Sturridge, Suarez, Jones, Sakho, Cissokho, Toure, Lucas, Alberto, Coutinho, Aspas, Teixeira, Moses.

MONDAY 14 APRIL

TOTTENHAM v SUNDERLAND 8pm

Emmanuel Adebayor is back in contention for Tottenham, although Roberto Soldado and Jan Vertonghen are out.

The Togolese striker has missed the last three matches with a gashed heel and hamstring problem, while Vlad Chiriches and Paulinho are also back in contention.

Soldado and Vertonghen are unavailable after sustaining injuries in last weekend's defeat at Liverpool, while Kyle Walker, Erik Lamela and Etienne Capoue remain absent.

Tottenham squad: Lloris, Friedel, Archer, Naughton, Vertonghen, Kaboul, Chiriches, Dawson, Fryers, Rose, Sandro, Chadli, Veljkovic, Eriksen, Sigurdsson, Paulinho, Bentaleb, Dembele, Lennon, Townsend, Kane, Soldado, Adebayor.
