Jonjo plumps for Geraghty on Shutthefrontdoor

Barry Geraghty partners the well-fancied Shutthefrontdoor as a maximum field of 30 runners will go to post in the Boylesports Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse on Easter Monday.

Former champion jockey Geraghty has been booked by Jonjo O'Neill to ride Shutthefrontdoor, one of six runners for leading owner JP McManus, who also saddles the top weight Cantlow with Paul Webber in the saddle.

Arthur Moore's Home Farm has been well supported in recent days and will be ridden by David Casey.

The Irish National remains one of a very select list of races to still elude Willie Mullins, who runs Touch The Eden and Away We Go.

Goonyella, former winner Lion Na Bearnai, Letter Of Credit, top-class hunter chaser Tammys Hill, Sraid Padraig and Gallant Oscar are others in the ultra-competitive race.

Meanwhile, four horses have been declared for Sunday's Powers Gold Cup when the Mullins-trained pair of Ballycasey and Mozoltov are joined by Mick Winters' Rebel Fitz and Bright New Dawn, trained by Dessie Hughes.
