Newsletter made a promising debut for trainer Ken Condon when taking the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at the Curragh.
Shane Foley brought the 100-30 shot to lead just inside the final furlong and the daughter of Sir Percy came home by two and three-quarter lengths from another newcomer in Splashtop.
Condon said: "She's just been on grass once and has only done five half-speeds, but she's been a natural from the start.
"She's got a very good attitude and Royal Ascot is on the agenda. The plan is to go for the Listed race at Naas before that.
"She's smart and hopefully she can keep progressing."
Booker (9-4 joint-favourite) got off the mark at the second attempt with a cosy success in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden.
Runner-up on her only outing last term, David Wachman's three-year-old hit the front inside the final furlong under Fran Berry and claimed victory by a length from Ella's Delight, with the always prominent Zaindera a further length and three-quarters away in third.
"Fran gave her a good ride as we didn't want to get there too soon," said Wachman.
"We liked her last year but didn't get to run her again as she pulled muscles.
"We'll look at Stakes races with her now."
Berry completed a quickfire double when forcing Thomas Edison (7-2) up in the last stride in the War Horse At The Curragh Raceday Handicap.
Tony Martin's charge clawed back Little Rocky in the shadow of the post to win by a nose, with Taglietelle only a neck away in third place.
Martin said: "He's been knocking on the door for quite a while.
"We'll see how he comes out of this and we'll find another handicap.
"It could be over hurdles or on the Flat."
Sruthan maintained his progress when landing his second Group Three victory in the Big Bad Bob Gladness Stakes.
Paul Deegan's gelding signed off 2013 with a win in Tipperary's Concorde Stakes and began the new season on a high note.
Chris Hayes always had Sruthan (9-4 favourite) handily-placed as last year's winner Custom Cut and Cristoforo Colombo took the field along before asking the four-year-old to make his effort.
Wearing a hood for the first time, Sruthan pulled clear in the closing stages to win by a length and a half from Custon Cut, with Wannabe Better a close-up third.
