Andy Moran was content to get the "job done" as Mayo easily saw of the challenge of New York in the Connacht Championship quarter-final.
Last year's All-Ireland finalists coasted to a 4-18 to 0-08 win in the Gaelic Grounds.
Moran said: "The hardest thing to do when you're not training, when you're not playing competitive matches is from 8 and 15, to have the cohesion between your forwards. I think New York would agree that's where they struggled today, up front.
"It was very important today, we had a game plan, that we'd keep them to a low a score as we can and we did and I think it worked well. We scored, I suppose, 30 points in 4-18 so it's a job done."
Mayo will face Roscommon or Leitrim on 8 June.
