Thirty-nine jockeys who rode in the Crabbie's Grand National were on Wednesday found in breach of the rules and handed cautions relating to what was a controversial start to the Aintree spectacular in April.
Deliberations into the incident, which saw assistant starter Simon McNeill knocked over, were unable to be completed on the day following the refusal of the riders to attend its conclusion and the matter was referred to the British Horseracing Authority disciplinary panel.
Brian Hughes, Tom Scudamore, Sam Twiston-Davies, Aidan Coleman and Tom O'Brien attended at the BHA for the jockeys, who were represented by Graeme McPherson QC.
The BHA was represented by Louis Weston, with the disciplinary panel headed by Tim Charlton.
In concluding its findings, the disciplinary panel opted to impose cautions rather than a suspension.
The only rider not involved was Brendan Powell, whose mount Battle Group refused to race on the day.
