David Oliver Joyce claimed his third successive European Union Elite Championships gold medal in Sofia, Bulgaria, beating Georgia's Otar Eranosyan in their lightweight final.
The St Michael's Athy lightweight, who won featherweight gold at this level in 2008 and 2009, beat Eranosyan on a unanimous decision to finish on top of the lightweight podium and seal an historic hat-trick for Irish boxing.
O'Neill, who was aiming for his second European Union gold, forced Manfredonia into two standing counts in the second round.
Joyce claimed Ireland's sole gold medal as Irish captain Darren O'Neill and Michael O'Reilly had to settle for silver.
Light-heavyweight O'Neill was edged out on a split decision by Italy's Valentino Manfredonia and while O'Reilly also lost on a split decision to France's Christian Ossomo in the middleweight final.
Ireland's nine-strong squad will be bringing home one gold, two silver and one bronze medal from the eighth edition of the tournament in the Bulgarian capital.
