SATURDAY 13 SEPTEMBER

ARSENAL v MANCHESTER CITY 12.35pm

England forward Danny Welbeck could make his Arsenal debut in the lunchtime clash against Manchester City following a £16million deadline day move from Manchester United.

Midfielder Aaron Ramsey (ankle) will be assessed while captain Mikel Arteta (ankle) is back in full training, along with goalkeeper David Ospina (thigh) and full-back Kieran Gibbs (hamstring).

German playmaker Mesut Ozil should be available after returning early from international duty because of a sprained ankle.

England forward Theo Walcott is a couple of weeks away from returning after a serious knee injury, but midfielder Serge Gnabry (knee) remains out and striker Olivier Giroud (fractured foot) is a long-term absentee.

Arsenal squad: Szczesny, Debuchy, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Ramsey, Sanchez, Ozil, Welbeck, Ospina, Cazorla, Monreal, Chambers, Flamini, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sanogo, Podolski, Campbell.

City are without midfielder Fernando (groin) and striker Stevan Jovetic (hamstring).

Defender Eliaquim Mangala, signed from Porto last month for £32million, and on-loan former England midfielder Frank Lampard are both in contention for debuts after building up their general fitness.

Captain Vincent Kompany is fit after coming through Belgium's friendly with Australia unscathed despite concerns over a calf injury.

Man City squad: Hart, Caballero, Zabaleta, Sagna, Kompany, Demichelis, Mangala, Nastasic, Boyata, Clichy, Kolarov, Silva, Milner, Navas, Nasri, Toure, Fernandinho, Lampard, Aguero, Dzeko.

CHELSEA v SWANSEA 3pm

Chelsea striker Diego Costa will be given every opportunity to prove his fitness ahead of the Premier League clash with Swansea after withdrawing from Spain duty with a hamstring injury.

Manager Jose Mourinho may opt to hand Loic Remy his debut, following his signing from QPR, with Wednesday's Champions League fixture with Schalke in mind.

Mourinho reported no further injury problems ahead of the fixture with the Swans, who like the Blues have begun the season with three wins from three games.

Chelsea squad: Courtois, Cech, Ivanovic, Luis, Fabregas, Zouma, Ake, Ramires, Oscar, Hazard, Drogba, Mikel, Schurrle, Salah, Remy, Costa, Matic, Willian, Schwarzer, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Boga, Baker.

Swansea striker Wilfried Bony will be checked before manager Garry Monk finalises selection for the top-of-the-table match.

Bony was part of the Ivory Coast side which lost an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Cameroon on Wednesday evening and Monk will consider the effects of that long journey on the 25-year-old before deciding whether to name an unchanged side for the fourth successive Barclays Premier League game.

Bafetimbi Gomis stands by should Bony be rested to the bench and Marvin Emnes could join the squad for the first time this season after hamstring trouble but midfielder Leon Britton has been ruled out for at least four more weeks with a knee injury.

Swansea squad: Fabianski, Rangel, Amat, Williams, Taylor, Ki, Shelvey, Dyer, Routledge, Sigurdsson, Bony, Tremmel, Fernandez, Tiendalli, Carroll, Montero, Gomis, Emnes, Bartley, Richards, Fulton, King, Kingsley, Sheehan.

CRYSTAL PALACE v BURNLEY 3pm

Burnley's three deadline day signings all come into contention at Palace, although Sean Dyche has hinted Nathaniel Chalobah and Michael Keane are unlikely to be thrust straight in.

The loan duo only trained with the Clarets for the first time on Thursday after being away with the England Under-21s, whereas forward George Boyd has been working with Dyche's group during the international break.

Danny Ings

Danny Ings, who joined Chalobah and Keane in Gareth Southgate's squad, is considered fine following a bout of illness so fellow striker Sam Vokes (knee) is expected to be the only absentee at Selhurst Park.

Burnley squad: Heaton, Trippier, Lafferty, Ward, Duff, Shackell, Mee, Wallace, Marney, Ings, Kightly, Cisak, Jones, Taylor, Sordell, Reid, Jutkiewicz, Chalobah, Boyd, Gilks, Keane, Long, Barnes, Arfield.

Crystal Palace's club-record signing James McArthur is set to make his debut.

Kevin Doyle and Zeki Fryers are also in line to make their first starts for the Eagles but Andrew Johnson is still gaining fitness and is unlikely to feature.

Marouane Chamakh is ruled out with a hamstring injury but Joe Ledley is available again after coming on as a substitute for Wales' win over Andorra on Tuesday.

Crystal Palace squad: Speroni, Hennessey, Mariappa, Kelly, Fryers, Ward, Delaney, Dann, Hangeland, Jedinak, O'Keefe, McArthur, Bannan, Ledley, Williams, Bolasie, Thomas, Puncheon, Gayle, Campbell, Johnson, Doyle, Zaha.

SOUTHAMPTON v NEWCASTLE 3pm

Ronald Koeman will give new forward Sadio Mane every chance to return from international duty in time for his Southampton debut.

Striker Mane had to detour via Ghana on his return to England after scoring in Senegal's 2-0 midweek victory in Botswana, due to work permit regulations.

Saints will be without injured front men Lloyd Isgrove and Sam Gallagher.

Southampton squad: Forster, Davis, Clyne, Yoshida, Fonte, Gardos, Alderweireld, Bertrand, Schneirderlin, Davis, Wanyama, Reed, Ward-Prowse, Stephens, Cork, Ramirez, Tadic, Mane, Rodriguez, Long, Pelle.

Cheick Tiote

Midfielders Jack Colback and Cheick Tiote will return to the Newcastle squad.

Colback was forced to withdraw from England duty with a calf problem, from which he has recovered, while Tiote is available after proving his fitness following a hamstring injury by playing the full 90 minutes in both games for the Ivory Coast during the international break, much to club manager Alan Pardew's annoyance.

Striker Papiss Cisse (knee) is around a fortnight away from a return, but Siem de Jong will be sidelined for three months with a thigh injury and fellow midfielder Rolando Aarons (hamstring) and striker Facundo Ferreyra (back) will both be missing this weekend.

Newcastle squad: Krul, Elliot, Janmaat, Dummett, Haidara, Coloccini, Williamson, S. Taylor, Tiote, Anita, Abeid, Gouffran, Sissoko, Colback, Cabella, Obertan, Riviere, Perez, Armstrong.

STOKE v LEICESTER 3pm

Stoke will assess the condition of forward Mame Biram Diouf ahead of Saturday's Barclays Premier League clash with Leicester at the Britannia Stadium.

Since scoring the Potters' winner in their shock victory at Manchester City on 30 August, Diouf has been away on international duty with Senegal and had not been back in training with his club by Friday.

Winger Oussama Assaidi is in contention to make his 'second debut' after rejoining the Staffordshire outfit on another season-long loan deal from Liverpool on transfer deadline day, but midfielder Stephen Ireland (rib) looks set to miss out along with Geoff Cameron (hernia) and Peter Odemwingie (knee), both of whom have undergone surgery.

Stoke squad: Begovic, Sorensen, Bardsley, Pieters, Huth, Muniesa, Wilson, Shawcross, Teixeira, Wilkinson, Whelan, Palacios, Nzonzi, Adam, Sidwell, Walters, Arnautovic, Diouf, Bojan, Crouch, Moses.

A trio of new signings come into the reckoning for Leicester manager Nigel Pearson.

Defender Danny Simpson, along with strikers Tom Lawrence and Nick Powell - the latter on loan from Manchester United - are added to the squad for the game at the Britannia Stadium.

Defender Matthew Upson (foot) remains sidelined, and although Matty James is training again after a lay-off with a shin injury, the game comes too soon for the midfielder..

Leicester squad: Schmeichel, Hamer, De Laet, Konchesky, Wasilewski, Schlupp, Moore, Morgan, King, Hammond, Albrighton, Knockaert, Mahrez, Vardy, Taylor-Fletcher, Ulloa, Nugent, Wood, Drinkwater, Cambiasso, Simpson, Powell, Lawrence.

SUNDERLAND v TOTTENHAM 3pm

Summer signings Sebastian Coates and Ricky Alvarez will hope for Sunderland debuts at home to Tottenham.

Liverpool defender Coates and Inter Milan midfielder Alvarez both joined the club on season-long loan deals on deadline day and are both included in the squad for the first time this weekend.

Head coach Gus Poyet has no injury problems as he goes in search of a first league win of the campaign.

Sunderland squad: Mannone, Pantilimon, Jones, Van Aanholt, Brown, O'Shea, Vergini, Coates, Roberge, Cattermole, Bridcutt, Rodwell, Gomez, Larsson, Johnson, Buckley, Giaccherini, Alvarez, Mavrias, Wickham, Fletcher, Altidore, Graham.

Tottenham new boys Federico Fazio and Benjamin Stambouli could be in line to play some part at Sunderland.

Federico Fazio

Both could make their debuts at the Stadium of Light after head coach Mauricio Pochettino confirmed he expects them to travel following their arrivals towards the end of the transfer window.

Roberto Soldado (neck) and Kyle Walker (hip) will definitely miss out and, while no Spurs players came back injured from international duty, Nabil Bentaleb is unlikely to feature having only returned to London late on Thursday.

Tottenham squad: Lloris, Friedel, Vorm, Naughton, Rose, Davies, Fazio, Vertonghen, Chiriches, Dier, Kaboul, Capoue, Stambouli, Paulinho, Dembele, Bentaleb, Eriksen, Lennon, Townsend, Chadli, Lamela, Adebayor, Kane.

WEST BROM v EVERTON 3pm

Ben Foster is set to hand West Brom a boost for Saturday's visit of Everton after returning following his thumb injury.

The goalkeeper withdrew from the England squad after aggravating an existing problem but trained with the Baggies on Thursday.

Joleon Lescott could make his debut after recovering from a knee injury while Georgios Samaras, Silvestre Valera and Sebastian Blanco may feature despite lacking match fitness.

Chris Brunt, Gareth McAuley and Graham Dorrans are available after shrugging off knocks suffered on international duty while Youssouf Mulumbu's hamstring injury and Victor Anichebe's hernia will be assessed.

West Brom squad: Foster, Myhill, Pocognoli, Gamboa, Dawson, Lescott, McAuley, Olsson, Davidson, Wisdom, Baird, Morrison, Mulumbu, Brunt, Blanco, Valera, Sessegnon, Samaras, Ideye, Anichebe, Berahino.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez will make a late check on midfielder Leon Osman and striker Samuel Eto'o.

Osman (calf) was injured in a friendly earlier this week, while Eto'o has been hampered by a groin problem since the defeat to Chelsea before the international break.

Midfielder Ross Barkley (knee) is still a month away from regaining full fitness, but striker Arouna Kone (knee) and defender Bryan Oviedo (broken leg) are both edging closer to a return after playing in the behind-closed-doors game against Stoke in midweek.

Everton squad: Howard, Coleman, Distin, Jagielka, Baines, Barry, McCarthy, McGeady, Mirallas, Naismith, Lukaku, Robles, Stones, Alcaraz, Gibson, Osman, Besic, Pienaar, Eto'o.

LIVERPOOL v ASTON VILLA 5.30pm

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge will miss the visit of Villa as he could be sidelined for up to three weeks with a thigh strain sustained while with England.

Midfielder Emre Can is another international duty casualty as he has been ruled out for six weeks with an ankle injury while fellow midfielder Joe Allen returned from playing for Wales with a knee problem which needs to be assessed.

Summer signing Adam Lallana is in line for his competitive debut after recovering from a pre-season knee injury but defenders Martin Skrtel, Glen Johnson and Jon Flanagan are all out.

Liverpool squad: Mignolet, Manquillo, Sakho, Lovren, Moreno, Gerrard, Henderson, Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling, Balotelli, Jones, Toure, Enrique, Lucas, Markovic, Allen, Lambert, Borini.

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert could give on-loan Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley his debut.

The midfielder joined last week after a protracted deadline-day transfer. Lambert, meanwhile, has a couple of injury doubts over unnamed players ahead of the trip to Anfield.

Strikers Christian Benteke (Achilles) and Libor Kozak (broken leg) remain out.

Villa squad: Guzan, Given, Hutton, Vlaar, Baker, Clark, Herd, Bacuna, Lowton, Cissokho, Okore, Cleverley, Westwood, Delph, Sanchez, Richardson, Cole, Grealish, El Ahmadi, N'Zogbia, Weimann, Agbonlahor, Bent.

SUNDAY 14 SEPTEMBER

MANCHESTER UNITED v QPR 4pm

Joey Barton will face a late fitness test after sustaining a hamstring strain.

Joey Barton

Rangers boss Harry Redknapp admitted he has a number of players carrying knocks, but does not expect many absentees against Louis van Gaal's side.

New recruits Sandro and Nico Kranjcar are primed for QPR debuts after joining before the September 1 transfer deadline.

QPR squad: Green, Murphy, Hill, Dunne, Ferdinand, Onuoha, Caulker, Suk-young, Traore, Isla, Henry, Sandro, Barton, Fer, Mutch, Faurlin, Hoilett, Phillips, Kranjcar, Wright-Phillips, Austin, Zamora, Vargas.

Radamel Falcao, Daley Blind, Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo are all available to make their Manchester United debuts.

Sam Johnstone (elbow), Chris Smalling (groin), Phil Jones (hamstring), Ashley Young (groin), Michael Carrick (ankle), Jesse Lingard (knee), Marouane Fellaini (ankle) are out.

James Wilson and Reece James are also unavailable due to unspecified injuries, but Rafael and Ander Herrera have recovered from their respective groin and ankle problems.

Man Utd squad: De Gea, Lindegaard, Amos, Rafael, Valencia, Shaw, Rojo, Evans, Blackett, Blind, Herrera, Fletcher, Anderson, Mata, Januzaj, Di Maria, Rooney, Falcao, Van Persie, W Keane.

MONDAY 15 SEPTEMBER

HULL v WEST HAM 8pm

Hull manager Steve Bruce must decide which of his four deadline day signings are ready to feature against West Ham on Monday night.

Record signing Abel Hernandez is doubtful as he awaits the correct work permit documentation and both Hatem Ben Arfa and Gaston Ramirez are short of full match fitness, making Mohamed Diame the most likely to start against the club he signed from.

James Chester is available again after suspension, Andrew Robertson is battling a calf injury and Michael Dawson is set for a home debut.

Hull squad: McGregor, Harper, Davies, Dawson, Rosenior, Robertson, Diame, McShane, Elmohamady, Huddlestone, Livermore, Ince, Brady, Jelavic, Aluko, Sagbo, Quinn, Meyler, Hernandez, Ben Arfa, Rodriguez.

Both Alex Song and Morgan Amalfitano are in line to make their West Ham debuts at Hull.

The duo were brought in at the back end of the transfer window and will be included in Sam Allardyce's squad for the game at the KC Stadium.

James Collins has recovered from a hamstring problem and will be in contention but Allardyce has cast doubts on whether Matt Jarvis (thigh) or Carl Jenkinson (hamstring) are fit enough to feature - with Andy Carroll (ankle) and Kevin Nolan (shoulder) definite absentees.

West Ham squad: Adrian, Jaaskelainen, Cresswell, O'Brien, Reid, Burke, Tomkins, Collins, Demel, Jenkinson, Noble, Kouyate, Song, Poyet, Morrison, Amalfitano, Downing, Jarvis, Vaz Te, Cole, Zarate, Sakho, Valencia.
