John Joe Nevin knocked out Calvin Stifford in the first round in the early hours of Sunday morning in North Carolina.
North Carolina native Stifford, who was making his pro debut, was counted out inside the first 90 seconds at the Ring of Dreams venue.
Nevin, who is signed with Tom Moran's GreenBlood stable in Philadelphia, had his two legs broken in an horrific assault near his home in Mullingar last April.
But the London 2012 silver medallist bounced back in spectacular style in the Old North State after taking Stifford clean out after detonating a right hook inside the opening two minutes.
The former AIBA World No 1 bantamweight, who won on his pro debut in Boston last March, improves to two wins from two after the win.
"It's great be back. People may not understand how much this means to me, I was looking forward to this so much," said Nevin.
Irish light welterweight Tyrone McKenna and light-heavyweight Ray Ginley, both from Belfast, completed a GreenBlood hat-trick – and extended their unbeaten runs to to 5-0 and 6-0 - after recording second round stoppages of Anthony Dave and Quincy Minor.
"Delighted with that, and I hope to have another fight, or maybe two, before Christmas, " said McKenna.
Ginley bounced back from being out with shoulder injury to stop Minor.
"It's been almost a year to the day since I picked up that injury and I hope to have another two fights before Christmas," he said.
