Broken arm rules Rhys Ruddock out of interpros

Leinster flanker Rhys Ruddock is set to miss between four and six weeks after fracturing his arm against Harlequins at Aviva Stadium on Saturday.

Leinster kept their Champions Cup quarter-final hopes alive with a nail-biting 14-13 win over Conor O'Shea's side, but Ruddock will now miss the province's festive PRO12 interprovincial games and is a major doubt for the last two rounds of European competition.

Ruddock left the field in the 63rd minute of the clash with Quins and was replaced by Jack Conan.

"Rhys broke his arm," Leinster manager Guy Easterby told the media. "It looks like he will be out for about four to six weeks.

"There are bumps and bruises around the camp but nothing else significant and anyone who is sore from the weekend should be available.

"Last year we had a really good year where we didn't pick up as many injuries as we had this year, that is just the way it goes sometimes."
