Ireland will conclude a busy Rugby World Cup warm-up schedule next year by tackling England at Twickenham.
The IRFU confirmed today the dates for the four RWC warm-up matches that head coach Joe Schmidt and his players will face ahead of the tournament.
Ireland's opening game in the Guinness Summer Series will be against Wales in Cardiff on 8 August, followed by successive home appointments at Aviva Stadium with Scotland (15 August) and Wales (29 August), before meeting England on 5 September at Twickenham.
Ireland's opening World Cup clash is against Canada in Cardiff on 19 September, while their other pool opponents are Italy, Romania and France.
Kick-off times will be confirmed early next year.
Saturday 8 August: Wales v Ireland at Millennium Stadium.
Saturday 15 August: Ireland v Scotland at Aviva Stadium.
Saturday 29 August: Ireland v Wales at Aviva Stadium.
Saturday 5 September: England v Ireland at Twickenham.
The England fixture will be part of a busy weekend for Irish sports fans.
Martin O'Neill's Republic of Ireland will play Gibraltar away from home on the evening of Friday 4 September, followed by the England rugby game on Saturday at Twickenham.
The All-Ireland hurling final will be played on Sunday 6 September, while Monday 7 September will see Republic Ireland play another crucial European Championship qualifier against Georgia in Dublin.
