The Republic of Ireland women's team have been beaten 2-0 by Austria at the Istria Cup in Croatia.

Austria opened the scoring after 25 minutes through Nadine Prohaska and extended that lead after 55 minutes through Nina Berger.

Ireland had several scoring chances with the best of them seeing Carol Breen and Fiona O'Sullivan denied by excellent saves from the Austrian goalkeeper.
