Kildare footballer Emmet Bolton has said the Kildare panel are "100% behind" manager Kieran McGeeney ahead of a vote on his future with the county.
Clubs in the county are currently debating whether to back the former All-Ireland winning Armagh captain internally.
The clubs will send delegates to vote on the manager's position before a final decision is made by the County Board next week.
Kildare were soundly beaten by Dublin in the Leinster semi-final, losing 4-16 to 1-09.
They defeated Louth in Round Two of the qualifiers but exited the Championship after a 0-14 to 0-12 defeat to Tyrone.
Bolton told RTÉ Sport: "The players are 100% behind him and the management team. People have to remember where he has got us over the last five or six years. We have been to five quarter-finals and one semi-final."
McGeeney brought a number of young players into the squad this year, and has also overseen success at underage level and Bolton believes that should count in his favour as well.
He added: "He has blooded a lot of Under-21s over the last two years and got the Under-21s to an All-Ireland semi-final this year. We really do hope that he stays and we truly believe he is the right man for the job."
