Paddy Madden is living the dream after earning his first Ireland call-up for Wednesday's friendly against Wales.
The striker obviously impressed Ireland's assistant manager Marco Tardelli, who attended Yeovil's league clash with Birmingham last Saturday.
Speaking on his inclusion in the squad for the friendly in Cardiff, Madden told RTÉ Sport: "It's a dream when you're a young lad to play for your senior team. I'm in here now and enjoying it."
The 23-year-old said the Ireland players have welcomed him into the squad and that he is beginning to settle in with his new team-mates.
"Obviously if you come into a squad and you don't know any of the faces it takes you a while to get use to them" said the former Bohemians man.
Madden said the fact that he had played with many of the squad at under-age level and in the League of Ireland had helped the settling-in process.
"The lads have made me feel welcome since I have come in, [I've had] good training sessions and that, so it's a good environment to be in."

Last season's League One top-scorer hopes his call-up can lead him to follow in the footsteps of other Irish footballers who have made the journey from the League of Ireland to the highest level.
And Madden added that he hopes to follow in Shane Long's footsteps, moving up to the English Premier League.
"Shane came from the league as well so hopefully I can follow in his footsteps and get to the highest level in English football. You can see just see the extra quality that you need to step up to and to reach the top.
"Fingers crossed, I'll just keep the head down and keep working hard and hopefully it leads me to that."
Looking ahead to Wednesday's game at the Millennium Stadium, Madden hopes to get some game-time and clinch that first appearance in an Irish shirt.
The Dubliner said: "I don't think I will get the full 90 but it would be nice to play some part.
"I'm starting to get noticed a bit. I'm happy to be here and if I get a run out it would be amazing."
