Irish boxers Michael Conlan, Jason Quigley and Tommy McCarthy have all made the quarter-finals in their respective weight divisions after victories at the World Championships in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Conlan, who has moved up from flyweight to bantamweight, recorded a (30-27,30-27,30-27) success over Mexico's Brian Gonzalez.
The number two seed will now meet Russia's Vladimir Nikitin on Wednesday.
Fifth seed Quigley completed a good morning for the Irish as he got the decision (30-27,30-27,29-28) over Scotland's Aston Brown in the middleweight class.
Zoltan Harsca, seeded four, is the next opponent for the Donegal competitor.
Heavyweight McCarthy is also through to the quarter-finals at the World Championships after a narrow win over Germany's Emir Ahmatovic, who was seeded number seven.
McCarthy carried two of the three judges with him through every round en route to a 29-28,29-28,29-28 decision.
The number two seed Yamil Peralta of Argentina awaits the Oliver Plunkett BC ace in Wednesday's bougt.
