Rizeena rediscovers form in Coronation Stakes

Rizeena bounced back to her brilliant juvenile form to win an eventful running of the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Kieren Fallon was unseated on leaving the stalls from the American raider Rosalind and there was a reluctance for someone to make the pace.

For around a furlong My Titania pulled her way to the front before Jimmy Fortune sent J Wonder on.

Ryan Moore was sat in third on Clive Brittain's Rizeena and was keen not to let J Wonder get away in front.

Moore made a positive move a good two furlongs from home and she kicked clear, but Euro Charline and latterly Lesstalk In Paris laid down late challenges.

To Rizeena's credit the 11-2 chance stuck on gamely to beat the French challenger by three-quarters of a length with Euro Charline in third to give Brittain an 18th Royal winner.

My Titania, having her first run of the year, stayed on again close home to finish just behind the places having being swamped two furlongs out.
