Former Kerry star Tommy Walsh has hinted that he could quit Australian Rules and return to play Gaelic football.
The 26-year-old reveals his desire to return to play for Kerry on the latest episode of Thank GAA It's Friday (9.05pm, RTÉ Two).
Walsh left for Australia in 2009 after winning an All-Ireland title with the Kingdom and is currently lining out as a forward with Sydney Swans, but as things stand, he is only tied to the AFL outfit until the end of the current season.
"I'm out of contract at the end of this year so there's a decision to be made"
"I'm out of contract at the end of this year so there's a decision to be made. I'd love to be back there, I'd love to be togging out this Sunday but I'll wish them the best and hopefully they can pull it off."
Walsh also reckons that Kerry will come out on top in the final, even though Donegal are the bookies' favourites having blitzed a hotly-tipped Dublin side in the semi-final.
"They are obviously underdogs going in, but I think there is another gear left in Kerry. I'm hoping there is and and I think they'll come out on top in the end."
If he does return, Walsh will follow in the footsteps of Tadhg Kennelly, who made history by becoming the first player to win both AFL and All-Ireland titles in 2009, lining out in the same team as Walsh for what is also the most recent All-Ireland title won by the Kingdom.
Kennelly also features in this week's episode.
