SATURDAY 18 OCTOBER

MANCHESTER CITY v TOTTENHAM 12.45pm

City's Eliaquim Mangala is set to miss out with a thigh injury.
The defender was an unused substitute for France in midweek and should be fit for City's Champions League match in Moscow on Tuesday.

All the other City players are fit apart from Samir Nasri, who is still recovering from groin surgery.

City squad: Hart, Caballero, Zabaleta, Sagna, Kompany, Demichelis, Boyata, Clichy, Kolarov, Silva, Navas, Milner, Lampard, Toure, Fernando, Fernandinho, Aguero, Jovetic, Dzeko.

Spurs 'keeper Hugo Lloris will be given every opportunity to prove his fitness ahead after being forced out of France duty with a thigh injury.

Belgium midfielder Nacer Chadli (hip) will also be given a chance to prove his fitness, while striker Emmanuel Adebayor and Nabil Bentaleb will be assessed on their returns from international duty on Friday.

Defenders Kyle Naughton (ankle) and Kyle Walker (abdominal surgery) remain out.

Spurs squad: Lloris, Vorm, Rose, Davies, Vertonghen, Chiriches, Dier, Kaboul, Fazio, Capoue, Stambouli, Paulinho, Dembele, Mason, Bentaleb, Eriksen, Lennon, Townsend, Chadli, Lamela, Soldado, Adebayor, Kane.

ARSENAL v HULL 3pm

Arsenal captain Mikel Arteta is expected back in the squad following a calf problem.

Defender Calum Chambers is suspended, while Laurent Koscielny (Achilles) is also out, so Spain international full-back Nacho Monreal could partner Per Mertesacker at centre-half.

Midfielder Mesut Ozil (knee) faces around two months on the sidelines. England forward Theo Walcott is set to play for the Under-21s on his return from nine months out with a knee problem. Midfielders Aaron Ramsey (hamstring) and Serge Gnabry (knee) are both also stepping up their rehabilitation along with striker Yaya Sanogo (hamstring) and France forward Olivier Giroud (fractured foot), but full-back Mathieu Debuchy (ankle) is a longer-term absentee.

Arsenal squad: Szczesny, Gibbs, Mertesacker, Monreal, Bellerin, Arteta, Wilshere, Cazorla, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Sanchez, Welbeck, Ospina, Flamini, Rosicky, Podolski, Coquelin, Diaby, Campbell.

Mohamed Diame will be assessed by Hull ahead of their trip to Arsenal following a long journey back from international duty.

The Senegal midfielder played in Tunisia on Wednesday night and will meet up with his team-mates in London before a decision is made on his availability.

Sone Aluko also had a quick turnaround from Nigeria, but manager Steve Bruce has no new injuries to add to Robert Snodgrass (knee) and Allan McGregor (shoulder).

Hull squad: Harper, Jakupovic, Davies, Dawson, Rosenior, Robertson, Chester, McShane, Elmohamady, Meyler, Diame, Huddlestone, Livermore, Brady, Ramirez, Jelavic, Aluko, Quinn, Hernandez, Ben Arfa.

BURNLEY v WEST HAM 3pm

Burnley's injury problems have eased ahead of the clash with West Ham at Turf Moor.

Striker Danny Ings (hamstring), midfielders Nathaniel Chalobah (throat) and Dave Jones (thigh) and defenders Kieran Trippier (ankle) and Michael Keane (hamstring) should all be fit enough to be included in the squad.

But Matthew Taylor needs an Achilles operation and the game is also likely to come too soon for fellow midfielders Dean Marney (hamstring) and Steven Reid (groin).

Burnley squad: Heaton, Trippier, Lafferty, Ward, Duff, Shackell, Mee, Wallace, Kightly, Cisak, Sordell, Jutkiewicz, Boyd, Gilks, Keane, Long, Barnes, Arfield, Ings, Chalobah, Jones.

Sam Allardyce is hoping to have midfielder Mark Noble fit and available. The 27-year-old has been missing with a calf injury but returned to training during the international break and could feature at Turf Moor.

Hammers boss Allardyce will also be keen for Enner Valencia to be involved despite travelling to play for Ecuador but no other injured players are likely to make a return. That means Guy Demel (thigh), Andy Carroll (ankle), Joey O'Brien (knee), Cheikhou Kouyate and James Collins (both groin) all remain sidelined for the Hammers.

West Ham squad: Adrian, Jaaskelainen, Cresswell, Reid, Burke, Tomkins, Potts, Jenkinson, Noble, Song, Poyet, Nolan, Amalfitano, Downing, Vaz Te, Cole, Zarate, Sakho, Valencia.

CRYSTAL PALACE v CHELSEA 3pm

Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann has been ruled out. Dann has a knee injury and will miss the Selhurst Park showdown, but is expected to return against West Brom a week later.

Otherwise Palace manager Neil Warnock has a fully fit squad to select from.

Palace squad: Speroni, Hennessey, Mariappa, Kelly, Fryers, Ward, Delaney, Hangeland, Jedinak, McArthur, Bannan, Ledley, Williams, Bolasie, Thomas, Puncheon, Gayle, Campbell, Johnson, Doyle, Chamakh, Zaha.

Diego Costa is among a number of injury concerns as leaders Chelsea travel to Crystal Palace.

Costa, who has been troubled by a hamstring problem in recent weeks has an undisclosed problem, while Ramires (groin) and Didier Drogba (ankle) are also doubtful.

Andre Schurrle (illness) and John Obi Mikel (undisclosed) are also to be assessed prior to the Selhurst Park clash.

Chelsea squad: Courtois, Cech, Ivanovic, Luis, Fabregas, Zouma, Ake, Ramires, Oscar, Hazard, Drogba, Mikel, Schurrle, Salah, Remy, Costa, Matic, Willian, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Boga, Baker, Schwarzer.

EVERTON v ASTON VILLA 3pm

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has to assess whether Ross Barkley is fit enough to make his first appearance of the season.

The England midfielder has been sidelined by a knee ligament injury sustained on the eve of the season but returned to full training this week.

Martinez is also hopeful over defender Seamus Coleman (thigh) and midfielders Steven Pienaar (hip) and James McCarthy (thigh) but Kevin Mirallas (hamstring) is still out while defender John Stones is recovering from knee surgery.

Everton squad: Howard, Hibbert, Coleman, Jagielka, Baines, Barry, McCarthy, Besic, Gibson, Naismith, McGeady, Lukaku, Robles, Oviedo, Browning, Alcaraz, Atsu, Pienaar, Osman, Eto'o.

Aston Villa are set to be without England midfielder Fabian Delph for their trip to face Everton due to a shoulder injury.

It is feared the Yorkshireman may be sidelined for a while after falling awkwardly in training on Tuesday, though manager Paul Lambert stopped short of confirming whether Delph had dislocated the shoulder.

Defender Philippe Senderos (thigh) is also set to miss out, though captain Ron Vlaar is fit after troublesome calf problems.

Villa squad: Guzan, Given, Hutton, Lowton, Vlaar, Baker, Okore, Clark, Cissokho, Bacuna, Westwood, Cole, Richardson, Grealish, Sanchez, N'Zogbia, Cleverley, Weimann, Bent, Benteke, Agbonlahor.

NEWCASTLE v LEICESTER 3pm

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has been handed a series of boosts as he prepares for the clash with Leicester.

Goalkeeper Tim Krul has shaken off the elbow injury which forced his premature return from international duty with Holland, while compatriot Daryl Janmaat (hamstring) and fellow defender Paul Dummett (muscle strain) are also fit.

Ivory Coast midfielder Cheick Tiote and Senegal striker Papiss Cisse are expected to be available despite only returning from their respective international camps on Thursday night, while utility man Ryan Taylor (cruciate ligament) and midfielders Siem de Jong (thigh) and Rolando Aarons (hamstring) remain on the comeback trail.

Newcastle squad: Krul, Elliot, Janmaat, Dummett, Haidara, Coloccini, Williamson, S. Taylor, Tiote, Anita, Sissoko, Colback, Cabella, Gouffran, Obertan, Ameobi, Riviere, Cisse, Perez, Armstrong.

Leicester manager Nigel Pearson has virtually a full squad to choose from.

After the international break, Pearson has no fresh injury worries, although he is still waiting for Riyad Mahrez and Jeffrey Schlupp to check in following their African Cup of Nations experiences with Algeria and Ghana respectively.

Pearson has just two players on the sidelines in defender Matt Upson (foot) and Zoumana Bakayogo (anterior cruciate).

Leicester squad: Schmeichel, Hamer, De Laet, Konchesky, Wasilewski, Schlupp, Moore, Morgan, King, Hammond, Albrighton, Knockaert, Mahrez, Vardy, Taylor-Fletcher, Ulloa, Nugent, Wood, Drinkwater, Cambiasso, Simpson, Lawrence, Powell.

SOUTHAMPTON v SUNDERLAND 3pm

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman will give Sadio Mane every chance to prove he is fresh enough to start at St Mary's.

The former Red Bull Salzburg forward was expected back in training on Friday after starting Senegal's 1-0 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying defeat to Tunisia on Wednesday.

Southampton have no new injury concerns ahead of the weekend's return to league action on the south coast.

Southampton squad: Forster, Davis, Cropper, Clyne, Fonte, Gardos, Alderweireld, Bertrand, Targett, Schneiderlin, Davis, Wanyama, Reed, Cork, Tadic, Yoshida, Mane, Long, Mayuka, Pelle, Gallagher.

Sunderland defender Billy Jones is out though injury. The full-back picked up a muscle injury in a behind-closed-doors friendly last week and joins fellow defender Sebastian Coates (thigh), and midfielders Emanuele Giaccherini (ankle) and Ricky Alvarez (knee) on the sidelines.

Former Napoli defender Anthony Reveillere has been training with the Black Cats as head coach Gus Poyet looks for cover, although Santiago Vergini, who won his second cap for Argentina in midweek, is in line to deputise for Jones at right-back.

Sunderland squad: Mannone, Pantilimon, Van Aanholt, Brown, O'Shea, Vergini, Roberge, Cattermole, Bridcutt, Rodwell, Gomez, Larsson, Johnson, Buckley, Mavrias, Wickham, Altidore, Fletcher, Graham.

SUNDAY 19 OCTOBER

QPR v LIVERPOOL 1.30pm

QPR midfield duo Joey Barton and Jordon Mutch will miss the visit of Liverpool as they both remain sidelined with hamstring injuries.

Despite having extra time to recover over the international break, the pair will not be fit to line up at Loftus Road as the Hoops look to move off the foot of the Barclays Premier League table.

Manager Harry Redknapp is hopeful Niko Kranjcar can be involved despite suffering a broken toe in training but Alejandro Faurlin (knee) is a long-term injury absentee.

QPR squad: Green, McCarthy, Hill, Dunne, Ferdinand, Onuoha, Caulker, Yun, Traore, Isla, Henry, Sandro, Fer, Hoilett, Phillips, Kranjcar, Wright-Phillips, Austin, Zamora, Vargas.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers will wait until the last minute to assess whether striker Daniel Sturridge is fit to return.

The forward has missed seven matches after sustaining a thigh injury on international duty but is on the verge of a comeback.

Defender Dejan Lovren has recovered from the abdominal problem which forced him to pull out of Croatia's squad while midfielders Joe Allen (knee) and Emre (Can) are fit again after time on the sidelines.

Liverpool squad: Mignolet, Johnson, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno, Gerrard, Henderson, Lallana, Sterling, Sturridge, Balotelli, Jones, Toure, Manquillo, Enrique, Sakho, Lucas, Allen, Can, Coutinho, Markovic, Lambert, Borini.

STOKE v SWANSEA 4pm

Stoke boss Mark Hughes expects Victor Moses and Mame Biram Diouf to be available but also has fresh injury concerns.

Moses, who came off in the 3-1 loss at Sunderland due to a thigh problem, and Diouf, absent from the game because of a hamstring complaint, have both trained ahead of the meeting with the Swans at the Britannia Stadium.

However, Glenn Whelan looks set to miss out having picked up a knee injury playing for the Republic of Ireland, Marko Arnautovic will have to shake off a hip problem suffered on Austria duty if he is to feature and Robert Huth is a doubt with a calf problem.

Stoke squad: Begovic, Sorensen, Wilson, Shawcross, Huth, Pieters, Cameron, Bardsley, Muniesa, Nzonzi, Adam, Sidwell, Ireland, Walters, Arnautovic, Bojan, Assaidi, Moses, Crouch, Diouf.

Swansea midfielder Jonjo Shelvey is suspended. Shelvey is serving a one-match ban for collecting five yellow cards this season while Jordi Amat is also expected to miss out with a knee problem.

Spanish defender Angel Rangel is, however, back from suspension while Leon Britton is close to returning from a knee injury.

Swansea squad: Fabianski, Richards, Rangel, Fernandez, Williams, Taylor, Ki, Shelvey, Routledge, Dyer, Britton, Sigurdsson, Bony, Tremmel, Tiendalli, Bartley, Carroll, Emnes, Montero, Gomis, Fulton.
