Ireland Women unchanged for Scotland clash

Ireland will field an unchanged side in Sunday's Women's RBS 6 Nations finale against Scotland at Broadwood Stadium (kick-off 1pm).

Coach Tom Tierney has kept faith the line-up which recorded a 20-0 victory over Wales last weekend ahead and victory in Cumbernauld will secure the Triple Crown, while a second Six Nations championship is still a possibility if England can do Ireland a favour against France on Saturday night.

Speaking of the encounter, Tierney said: "It's been a huge three months, a lot of change and getting to know new ways. Thankfully the quality of the players has shone through in the results and, fingers crossed, Scotland will be another win.

"We are going to be mentally ready to take Scotland on its merits, we have to win the game first before we are in a position to chance points. We are going to concentrate on our basics, in both defence and attack. We are going to keep doing what we have been doing throughout the Six Nations."

Ireland XV to face Scotland: Niamh Briggs (captain), Hannah Tyrrell, Jenny Murphy, Jackie Shiels, Alison Miller, Nora Stapleton, Larissa Muldoon; Ruth O'Reilly, Gillian Bourke, Ailis Egan, Sophie Spence, Marie Louise Reilly, Paula Fitzpatrick, Claire Molloy, Heather O'Brien

Replacements: Sarah Mimnagh, Fiona Hayes, Fiona O'Brien, Orla Fitzsimons, Katie Norris, Tania Rosser, Sene Naoupu, Aoife Doyle

* Live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player From 12.45pm.
